Meet Laura Ripoll Dennison

Laura Ripoll Dennison is a trial lawyer since 1979 and certified family mediator by the Florida Supreme Court. She stands for caring and compassion as the cornerstones of a better tomorrow, and for the miracles they offer us all. But when people can't agree, she wields an iron fist wrapped in a velvet glove until they're ready to take responsibility for their lives and do the right thing. Her practice includes:

Biography
Laura Dennison is a trial lawyer who has practiced law for the past 26 years. She is partner in the law firm of Dennison & Dennison, P.A., which she co-founded with John Dennison in 1988.  Laura graduated cum laude from Florida International University in Miami in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  In 1978,she graduated from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, Ohio.  Earlier in her formal education, in 1976, Laura studied at the Universidad de EL Salvador Centroamericano in San Salvador, El Salvador, where she analyzed pre-revolution politics through observation of political parties. 

From 1980 through 1987, Laura prosecuted criminal cases for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in Cleveland, Ohio.  She is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Ohio.  Laura is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, and the U.S. Federal Courts for the Southern District of Florida.   Laura served as Director of the Female Minority Business Office for the city of Cleveland, Ohio, under then-Mayor (later to become Governor and Senator) George Voinovich.  

In 1991, she was honored for career achievement by the Coalition of Hispanic American Women (CHAW).    Laura has also served on the Board of Directors of the North Dade Chamber of Commerce, past president of the YMCA Northwest Region Board of Directors,  Chairman of the YMCA Board of Directors Development Committee, and judge of the Hialeah Optimist Oratorical Contest from 1989 to present. In addition, Laura served on the board of directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners and as Corporate Partner Committee Chairman. 

She is a tireless political and charitable fund-raiser, and has headed campaigns for the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and the North Dade Chamber of Commerce, among others. 

She is the mother of two sons, and maintains an active trial practice. In 2006, she became a Certified Family Law Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court and has a mediation practice in addition to her litigation practice.
